Dr. Greenfield is a licensed Neuropsychologist (CA) and School Psychologist (FL) who specializes in neuropsychological, neurobehavioral, and psychoeducational assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Job Description:
We are seeking a licensed psychologist, therapist, or mental health counselor to join the practice as a contractor. An educational professional with expertise in executive funtioning coaching would also be considered; email our office to dissucess this opportunity separately.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and adolescents/teens and be proficient in evidence-based therapy interventions. This position offers the flexibility of contractor status while providing the opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment, with a referral stream & marketing benefits to build your caseload, and without the monthly overhead of renting office space or HIPAA-compliant platforms and tools. We are located in beautiful Cocoa Beach, with a view of the ocean!
Key Responsibilities:

Provide individual therapy to children and adolescents/teens as an independent licensed contractor, adhering to the highest professional standards and ethical guidelines.

Opportunities for group therapy and parent coaching may also be available for those with expertise in these areas.

Plan and implement appropriate therapeutic interventions utilizing evidence-based methods to treat symptoms of neurodevelopmental, behavioral, and socioemotional challenges.

Ensure continuity of care for clients, including timely documentation and coordination with other healthcare professionals as necessary, while maintaining confidentiality and obtaining informed consent for treatment.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with privacy laws and regulations.

Monitor and update your schedule and client electronic files on our EMR platform to:

Reschedule or cancel existing clients’ appointments when necessary.

Ensure timely payments from clients and manage automatic billing.
-
Generate and provide requested documentation to clients (e.g., superbill).
-
Reflect your availability for the office to schedule new client appointments.
-

Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to support the client's therapeutic goals.

Participate in team/collaborative meetings to ensure continuity of care.

Maintain professional malpractice coverage.

Provide any specialized materials and tools necessary for therapeutic interventions not already possessed by the practice.
Qualifications & Skills:
-
Additional certifications or training in specialized therapeutic approaches.
-
Familiarity with modalities/programs such as Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT), Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), Zones of Regulation, Social Skills programming, and Executive Functioning Coaching is highly desired.

Doctoral or Master’s-level degree in the field of psychology/mental health/child development.

Competitive applicants will have:

Availability to see clients in-office (Cocoa Beach) during after-school hours and/or weekends.

Availability/desire to see clients on Mondays, Fridays, and/or weekends.

A commitment to providing consistent intervention services and maintaining reasonable availability for clients' needs.

A desire to build a caseload of a minimum of 6 individual clients weekly.

Preferred Qualifications, Professional Qualities, and Availability:
-
Must be a licensed psychologist, therapist, or mental health counselor in the state of FL (LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, PsyD, PhD).

Capable of identifying, responding to, and managing crisis situations, including risk assessments and referrals to emergency services when necessary.
-
Experience working with children and adolescents/teens is required, with a strong background in evidence-based therapy interventions.

Expertise in treating symptoms of most of the following: ADHD, anxiety, Tourettes, OCD, ASD, and/or general behavioral/emotional regulation challenges in children and/or teens.

Must be technologically proficient with access to your own device to:

Utilize EMR to schedule existing clients and input therapy notes.

Utilize telehealth to see clients (when requested by family)
-

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a cooperative suite of professionals.

Strong time management and organizational skills to support timely/compliant note-keeping and provide patients with on-time appointments.
